A man wanted for robbery and assault after his attempt to steal from a home in the New York City area was arrested in Manhattan thanks to his crime being captured on a hidden security camera.

The attack in Millburn, New Jersey, about 25 miles west of Manhattan, left one of the home’s residents with numerous injuries, according to the New Jersey Star-Ledger, but may not have been solved had it not been for a strategically placed nanny cam. Not knowing his actions were being caught on film, the man continually walked through the home taking belongings including valuable jewelry within view of the camera.
