An 18-year-old man was recently caught using his cell phone to take pictures underneath women’s skirts at a Target store in Commerce Township, Michigan. Two females caught the voyeur in the act and chased him out of the store. The allegations were later confirmed when officials reviewed the video surveillance system that filmed the incident, according to local TV station WXYZ.

Upon further investigation, local authorities found the same man had allegedly performed similar acts at another local Walmart store one day earlier. Female shoppers called the crime creepy and disgusting and said it shouldn’t have happened, the news source reported.

“It’s very brazen the way that he did it,” Oakland County Sheriff’s Department detective Tim Hein said, according to WXYZ.

The accused peeper is currently being held in jail with a $50,000 cash bond along with other pending charges, WXYZ reported.

Retailers should consider implementing next-generation video surveillance and other security solutions to deter similar crimes from happening in the future and provide safe shopping environments for customers.
